Requirements for NIN Registration

Following a recent NIMC global system upgrade, the documents listed below are compulsory for all applicants — both adults and minors.

📌 For Adults or Minors Born in Nigeria

1. Birth Attestation Certificate from the National Population Commission (NPC)

   • This is now mandatory for all applicants.

   • Must be obtained in advance from the NPC portal:

2. Valid Identification Document

   • Nigerian International Passport

   • or other government-issued Nigerian ID (National ID Card, Voter’s Card, or Driver’s Licence)

3. Proof of Nigerian Citizenship

   • Local Government or State of Origin Certificate

   • Nigerian Birth Certificate

   • Sworn Affidavit of Citizenship (if applicable)

4. Processing Fee

   • Due to NIMC’s system upgrade, there is now a 100% increase in the processing fee for all enrolments.

⚠️ Note: The NPC Birth Attestation process is Do-It-Yourself (DIY) online, but our team can assist you for a small service fee if needed.

📌 For Adults or Minors Born Outside Nigeria

1. Birth Attestation Certificate from the National Population Commission (NPC) (Mandatory)

   • This also applies to all minors born outside Nigeria.

2. Birth Notification by Parent or Guardian

   • Must be completed by the parent/guardian on the NPC portal:

3. Parent’s or Guardian’s Valid Identification

   • Nigerian International Passport

   • National ID Card

   • Voter’s Card

4. Processing Fee

   • The same 100% updated fee applies to all applicants globally.

🇸🇪 How to Enrol for NIN in Sweden

You can enrol for your National Identification Number (NIN) conveniently at our approved registration centre in Stockholm, Sweden.
We operate under the authorisation of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and provide a safe, fast, and reliable registration process for Nigerians living abroad.

Steps to Register:

1. Book an Appointment Online

2. Prepare All Required Documents as listed above.

3. Visit Our Capturing Centre on your scheduled date.

4. Complete Biometric Capturing (fingerprints, facial image, and signature).

5. Receive Your NIN Slip once approved by NIMC in Nigeria.
